My name is Åsa Stenmark.

I am a trained (assistant) nurse and have been working in the care of old people for several years. After having been home with my children I changed my profession into tailoring. I sewed a great deal of correction works but also measured clothes of different kinds. My business idea was slowly developing when I saw a clear pattern. Disabled people had practical clothing but without style. Older people had difficulties finding clothes because of different body changes. I started making special collections for these groups.

To my help I have Adel and Vasana two tailors with several years of experience. We are sewing everything from medical aids to skirts for stoma surgery patients and clothes designed for wheelchair users. Our design is classic but we are also sewing youth collections that has given us a lot of praise.

Our idea is to make beautiful well cut clothes according to the customer’s needs and wishes. We work hard to be a manufacturing company and are currently developing cooperation with a number of Swedish stores. We hope to expand into Norway, Denmark, Holland and Japan.

The company is a member of the Swedish Tailoring Federal and Östergötlands Clothes Creators.

Åsa Stenmark Design is a company that produces clothes with style, quality and function for people with special needs.
